I started doing therapy in 2021 when I first started my Master's degree program. I've since finished my Master's and completed a Ph.D. to better serve my community. Although I'm able to work with any individual, partners, or family that is appropriate for out-patient care, I have a few specialties. My clinical specialties are ADHD, autism, and chronic illness, parenting teens, working with the LGBTQIA+ community, and ethical non-monogamy and polyamory. If you would like to learn more about what my degrees and training entail, please go HERE.
My goal with therapy is to work with you as a team to figure out the solutions that work for you. I want my therapy space to be a safe, inviting place where everyone feels comfortable to grow and be their authentic selves. I also believe that the world around us has an impact on our personal lives, and I'm more than happy to discuss those events and societal pressures in the therapy room. In terms of model, I work from a combination of experiential (Satir), Narrative, and solution-focused (SFBT) models to provide treatment.
In addition, if you have a physical condition/illness that requires medical professionals to help manage, I can help provide integrated care and collaborate with your medical professionals! All I need is a release of information, and I can collaborate with your medical professional(s). Part of my training is as a Medical Marriage and Family Therapist, where I worked in a hospital for almost five years alongside doctors, nurses, speech therapists, OTs, PTs, social workers, and more to provide integrated care. This gives me a unique skillset to help you manage your mental health and advocate on your behalf with your other professionals while managing your conditions - whatever they may be!
